About Us

The name of the federation shall be “SportCheerGB” as detailed within the BCA, UKCA and Scotcheer joint agreement duly signed by all three parties on 3rd March 2009 and whom is a registered company limited by Guarantee (registration number 07155879) and not having Share Capital in accordance with The Companies Acts 1985 to 1986

At a meeting held between senior representatives of the

British Cheerleading Association (BCA)

Scotcheer

United Kingdom Cheerleading Association (UKCA)

it was agreed that a united over-arching, not for profit, organisation was required to represent Cheerleaders from the UK/GB in the world arena.

Such an organisation has now been formed and will be known as “SportCheerGB”

SportCheerGB is an over-arching, not for profit, organisation formed to represent Cheerleading in the UK/GB.

SportcheerGB will represent Cheerleading in the UK/GB to the relevant International Sports bodies.

Note;

Each member association will retain sole governance and jurisdiction over its own membership base.

Overall safety / education / coaching / credentialing will be discussed as a priority at all meetings of SportCheerGB.
